BUILD THE FUTURE WITH US.
Newark's first-mover anime nightlife brand — built on a 90-mile pull radius, monthly residency, and an upcoming three-stage festival on Mulberry Commons.
I'm Azael Montejo Jr. — most people in this scene know me as Moonlight. I founded Moonlight Productions LLC because the NJ/NYC anime crowd has nowhere to be after 11pm — conventions end, and there is literally no nightlife brand built specifically for them.
So I built one. Here's what's real, and what's next.
What's already proven:
- Pull radius: Attendees have driven from 90+ miles — NJ, NYC, CT, PA, even DE. Anime fans travel. The market is regional, not local.
- QXT's residency: Monthly anime night at one of NJ's longest-running alt venues. Repeat attendance is climbing. Cosplay-in is 30–50% of the room.
- Sponsor traction: Inbound brand interest from apparel, gaming, and energy categories. We screen sponsors with an application funnel — the inverse of "we'll take anyone with a check."
- Cosplayer-influencer activation: Every cosplay attendee in the 2K–15K-follower range becomes part of our and our sponsors' campaigns through gifted-product handoffs with FTC-compliant disclosure. No other NJ/NYC venue offers this. It's a defensible moat.
What's next:
- The Mulberry festival — a three-stage outdoor anime/cosplay/EDM festival on Mulberry Commons in Newark. This is the flagship.
- 4 nights/year minimum at QXT's, scaling to monthly, building toward a recurring brand the way Outside Lands or Camp Flog Gnaw operate — not a one-off promoter.
- National expansion path: the model travels. Anime/cosplay/EDM crossover audiences exist in every major US metro and they're under-served everywhere.
What we're talking about: partnership, capital, venue equity, or strategic brand investment. Friends & family checks, angel rounds, and strategic partnerships are all on the table. We'll send a full deck and unit economics after we mutually NDA.
If you're curious about the numbers — cost-per-acquisition, contribution margin per night, sponsor pipeline value, festival projection model — tell me what you're looking at and what scale of conversation makes sense for you.
